Bloodwork: Complete blood counts (CBCs) provide insights into red and white blood cell counts, and platelet levels. Blood chemistry panels, on the other hand, help evaluate kidney and liver values, blood sugar levels, electrolyte balance, and more. We can also perform blood tests to detect heartworms, which can cause serious complications without prompt care.

Urinalysis: Urinalysis helps evaluate the health of your pet's urinary tract, including the bladder and kidneys. It also helps uncover various health concerns like diabetes, kidney disease, infections, and more. It is an essential diagnostic tool for healthy or sick animals, allowing us to rule out underlying problems or determine the causes of your pet's distress.

Fecal Samples: Fecal testing helps detect intestinal parasites that can cause discomfort and health problems in your pet. They can identify the presence of hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, coccidia, and other parasites, ensuring prompt treatment. Fecal samples can also be used to detect Parvovirus, which we frequently see in El Paso.

Ear and Skin Cytology: We use a microscope to examine samples from your pet's ears or skin to diagnose conditions like abnormal cell growth, fungal or bacterial infections, or parasites like ticks or mites. Skin cytology helps identify the cause of skin infections, allergies, or unusual lumps and bumps, providing us with the information we need to create targeted treatment plans.

4DX Testing: A 4DX test is a blood test that screens for heartworm and tick-borne diseases like Lyme disease, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia. It's especially valuable for us here in El Paso, where we see many Ehrlichia cases each year. This test is highly reliable, producing quick results for immediate care.

Feline Virus Tests: For our feline patients, we offer virus testing to detect illnesses, such as feline leukemia (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV), which is critical for managing your cat's health.
