The Inspiration Behind Lost Dog Vet

It was a hot July day in 2020 when I was getting home for my lunch break.  As I pulled into the driveway, I noticed a dog lying in our front entry-way, hot and out of breathe.  I called my husband and told him there was a lost dog at the front of the house.  He came outside and we met this quiet scared boy that looked like a small black lab mix.  We coaxed him to the back yard and started to hose him off to cool him down and give him a drink of water.  We soon got the aroma of skunk and realized he had been through quite a bit before he got to our house.  We let him inside and by that night he was in our bed and had become our loyal dog.  We named him Neptune and he became the inspiration for Lost Dog Vet.
